CORE Peer Learning Circles: Humblebragging About Your Grant Successes

  • Core Investments Santa Cruz County, CA (map)

Hosted by: CORE Investments

Interpreter: Stella Lauerman

Bilingual meeting support: Gisella Carrasco

Language: English, with simultaneous Spanish interpretation

You’ve written a successful proposal (yay!) and started to implement your ideas (huzzah!). Some things have gone really well, according to or even exceeding your planned outcomes and objectives. But some things have not gone as well, for a variety of reasons.

How do you describe the mix of successes and challenges, in a spirit of learning and continuous improvement, to your funders? How do you convey your progress using their reporting formats and expectations, while still honoring your experiences?

These and other questions related to reporting progress (or lack thereof) will be the subject of four upcoming Peer Learning Circles hosted by the CORE Institute and facilitated by your hosts, Nicole Young and Nicole Lezin.

CORE Peer Learning Circle: Humblebragging About Your Grant Successes  →

If you haven’t participated in CORE Peer Learning Circles before, the format is informal and conversational. It’s a loose, “office hours” approach (i.e., not a structured training) in which we’ll spend an hour focusing on different aspects of grant reporting, with everyone (facilitators and participants) sharing questions, tips, and resources. We’ve identified a theme for each session, but the depth and quality of the discussion will depend on who shows up with what questions and ideas to share. We’re all there to learn from each other; no questions or situations are too simple or too complicated. Bring your questions and your tips, and let’s figure out some resources and strategies, together.
