Day Worker Center Annual Fundraiser

  • Core Investments Santa Cruz County, CA (map)

Join us for the 10th annual Day Worker Center Fundraiser! This Mexican and Mexican American music and multi-media fundraiser event will feature speakers, along with songs from the largest collection of Mexican & Mexican American roots music: the Frontera Collection, a project of the Arhoolie Foundation dedicated to preserving & promoting American roots music (including Zydeco, Corridos, Cajun, blues, folk, and more). Hear the story of Arhoolie Records, and its founder who passed away last month, through music, photo, and video.

The Day Worker Center of Santa Cruz County is dedicated to securing safe & dignified employment opportunities for day laborers through job-matching services.

Tickets for this event are $40 and all proceeds will be used to continue supporting the day laborer community to secure safe employment, develop job skills, improve wages, and become more fully engaged members of our community.
